Concept and creative process
The brief for 'A Song for Europe' was to create a lively, dynamic, colourful opening sequence, reflecting the spirit of the competition. As this was one of my very early projects as designer, I turned to a style I had used at college, paper cut-outs. However, instead of using actual cut-outs the sequence was created digitally - drawn in the digital suite, based on hand-drawn sketches. The colour was added digitally, as was all of the movement.
