BBC2 Autumn campaign - Plummet ident 1 (1994)

Concept and creative process

‘Plummet' was one of the ideas produced for the Autumn on BBC2 campaign in 1994, together with ‘Ballet’, ‘Demolition’ and ‘Tether’. ‘Plummet’ has the 2 logo heroically dive off a high board into a bucket of water. The circus styling reflects the entertainment component of the channel. The idea was that something quirky happens that we are not expecting. At the last minute the BBC2 logo screeches to a halt in mid-dive.                                                                                         

Nominated for a BAFTA Craft Award for Graphic Design 1995.
