BBC2 Autumn campaign - Demolition ident (1994)

Concept and creative process

‘Demolition' was one of the ideas produced for the Autumn on BBC2 campaign in 1994, together with ‘Ballet’, ‘Plummet’ and ‘Tether’. The idea was that something quirky and surprising happens that we are not expecting. So it was the demolition ball which shattered, rather than the '2' logo, implying that BBC2’s programming was a witty and enduring presence in the broadcasting landscape. 

Nominated for a BAFTA Craft Award for Graphic Design 1995.
