Ravensbourne's Accumulate – The Art School for the Homeless

Since 2014, Accumulate has had a strong connection with Ravensbourne University and over 35 Accumulate participants have gone on to study on Ravensbourne’s Access to Higher Education course.
The Accumulate programme
Accumulate has been transforming lives for over a decade through art, photography, creative writing, fashion, film, and digital media. In partnership with hostels and housing organizations, it offers creative education, paid work experience, facilitator training, and scholarships to help participants pursue further education.
From early 2026, Ravensbourne will take on the programme entirely and commit to widening participation, promoting diversity and engaging with learners from a wide range of backgrounds to build meaningful and sustainable careers within the industries we serve.

Criteria and pathways
Accumulate supports participants from diverse and challenging backgrounds, including homelessness, abuse, foster care, prison, mental health struggles, and substance abuse. Through the programme, they build confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of belonging, empowering them to plan for a brighter future.
As Accumulate transitions to Ravensbourne, the university aims to expand the program into new creative, tech, and business pathways, while strengthening connections with industry partners.
