Ravensbourne University London completes shift towards three-school academic structure

In another watershed moment for Ravensbourne University London, the institution has now completed its move towards dividing its degree courses into three academic schools.
Friday 1 August 2025 saw the introduction of a new academic structure which seeks to bring specialist expertise to each of our key disciplines as well as new ways of learning with industry.
The School of Design, Media and the Creative Industries will be led by its Executive Dean, Andy Rees, whose engagement with Ravensbourne goes back many years. The following departments will now be housed within their new school:
- Department of Design Practice
- Department of Media, Film and Television
- Department of Fashion

Dr Kellie Vincent has been named the Executive Dean of the School of Business, Management and Commerce, in which the Department of Business will be situated.

Finally, we are delighted to welcome Dr Kevin Chalmers to Ravensbourne as he takes up the position of Executive Dean of the School of Computing, Architecture and Emerging Technologies. This school will include the following departments:
- Department of Computing and Emerging Technologies
- Department of Architecture
- Department of Further Education and Apprenticeships
