Shortlisted projects
Clay Pigeons – Ella Stimson
Ravensbourne graduate Ella Stimson has been shortlisted for ‘Clay Pigeons’. This is a menswear project exploring adolescent naivety and the development of personal style.
Drawing on themes of identity and the transition into adulthood, Ella's work challenges conventional approaches to menswear through experimental garment construction and unexpected visual references.
Ella quote
Tradition is admired, the idea often being drawn from fathers’ wardrobes, yet this is reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. Existing garments are warped, meticulously reconstructed to challenge the familiarity of conformity. The awkwardly posed baseball players depicted on early 1900s collectible cards embody this youthful uncertainty, while the textural artwork of Adrian Ghenie captures the near-schizophrenic euphoria of the generational transition from adolescence to adulthood.”

To Elope north – Robin Would
Ravensbourne graduate Robin Would has been shortlisted for ‘To Elope north’, a comic about a teenager who runs away during a school trip to Iceland.
Robin's work visually explores triggers of anxieties and the urge to run away against the backdrop of Iceland’s landscapes. The comic is risograph printed in yellow and blue.
The shortlisted work is now being viewed by a panel of judges, while audiences around the world can also support the graduates through the public vote.
