Biography

Lawrence is a communicator and educator who has been recognised by various organisations as an influencer in the world of education and creativity.

Lawrence’s work centers around providing an intersection between education, technology and the creative industries. He has produced documentaries for Channel 4, BBC 4, and BBC Radio 1.

In 2011 he was recognised by The Lloyds Banking Group and Thomson Reuters as one of the most influential black people under 40 in Britain in their annual Power List.

As the Director of Innovation Industry and Enterprise Lawrence’s priority is to prepare students from Ravensbourne to enter the creative industries and excel. In addition, he aims to establish the Institute for Creativity and Technology as a centre for creative excellence, knowledge exchange applied research, post graduate education and innovation.

Lawrence has a deep commitment to develop the commercial capabilities for Ravensbourne. So far this has been achieved by collaborating with organisations such as the NHS, Steris, Nike, Warner Music and the Barnes Film Festival.
