
Jon Schwochert MA, FHEA, PGCAP
Biography
Jon Schwochert is an illustrator working in both traditional and digital media with a passion for storytelling. His art has been used in video games, graphic novels, magazines and public artworks. Jon works to empower communities by co-creating artworks and digital experiences that tell their stories.
Jon studied at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, before moving to London. Jon left university to train in classical techniques and media at London Fine Art Studios. He completed his MA in Illustration at the University of Hertfordshire in 2015 where he received a distinction for his thesis.
His artwork ranges from digital illustration to animations projected over urban landscapes. He brings elements of real media into digital spaces to publish work on digital platforms, in print, and in experimental forms including augmented reality. Jon has trained in classical painting, but creates his professional work using computer software.
Jon has been published by Nintendo Co., The Pokémon Company, Artist and Illustrator Magazine, Self Made Hero, ComiXology, Comix Central, Comic Haus, Wandsworth Council, and many other smaller clients. Jon has exhibited at Leighton House, the Electric Medway Festival, the Being Human Festival and the Rochester Art Gallery. He has been a resident artist at the Central School of Ballet in London, and the Milwaukee Art Museum.
Currently, Jon is based in Southeast England while he continues to work on his creative projects.
