Jon Kingsbury Vice Chancellor - BA, DIC, EMBA, FLS

Jon Kingsbury is the Vice Chancellor of Ravensbourne University London. Having joined in June 2025, Jon brings deep expertise from a career in broadcasting, technology innovation and business.

Prior to joining Ravensbourne, Jon was CEO of Innovate UK Business Connect, where he led the organisation to connect innovative businesses with universities, public funding, private investment and new markets to drive economic growth. 

Before this, Jon had a senior career in production and commissioning for broadcasters Channel 4 Television and the BBC, as well as the innovation charity Nesta. He was on the Board of Screen Yorkshire which commissions movies, TV and video games. Jon is a voting member of BAFTA (Games and Film awards) and is a fellow of the Linnean Society of London.  

At Ravensbourne, Jon leads delivery of the university’s strategy, empowering students from all backgrounds to thrive at the intersection of creativity, technology and business. He is passionate about practice-based learning, investment in emerging talent and forging deep industry partnerships.
