Biography
James McDermott is a London-based art director, filmmaker and creative working across 3D, film, and augmented reality, with a practice rooted in fashion, music, and technology. His work sits at the intersection of the physical and the digital.
Our Senior Lecturer in Fashion Promotion developed in traditional design environments before embracing the digital world. He found that digital spaces carried something the physical fashion world often didn't: openness. With fewer gatekeepers, he found more room to experiment and this sense of accessibility runs through everything he does.
