Biography
Francesco Tacchini is a Senior Lecturer in BA (Hons) Graphic Design and an artist.
He co-founded the artist duo, dmstfctn in 2017, a practice through which he explores complex systems through performance, installation, video games and film. Through interactive experience, their work invites audiences into the 'demystification' of systems by replicating and replaying them. Also, their work covers 'remystification' by building worlds, characters and myths atop them.
Francesco has performed in venues such as Serpentine Galleries, Design Museum, Corsica Studios, Cafe OTO, Berghain (Berlin) and Onassis (Athens). As well as festivals such as transmediale, Unsound, Impakt and CTM. He has also exhibited or screened work in venues and festivals such as Somerset House, HKW, Fotomuseum Winterthur, Nieuwe Instituut, LUMA Arles, Aksioma, Porto Design Biennale and Istanbul Design Biennale. He is an alumni of the Royal College of Art.
