Ella Thompson Elected Staff Governor - BA

Ella Thompson is Senior Internal Communications Manager at Ravensbourne University London. She leads strategic internal communications that help staff and students get the best experience of working and learning at Ravensbourne.

Before joining Ravensbourne, she spent seven years at Macmillan Cancer Support, progressing through roles spanning strategic, internal and corporate communications. 

Earlier in her career, Ella worked in marketing and communications across higher education and other organisations in content marketing roles. Ella studied Creative Writing and English at the University of Hull and has continued to develop her leadership practice throughout her career.

Her professional interests include internal communications, employee engagement, organisational change, leadership communications and developing effective channels and content that make complex information clear, relevant and engaging to a variety of diverse audiences.

Outside of work, Ella enjoys Parkrun and playing the cornet in her local brass band.
