Biography

Dr. Vaibhavi Chavan is a Senior Lecturer in Project Management
She has over nine years of international academic experience across the UK, Europe, Australia, and Asia. Dr. Chavan currently serves as an External Examiner at Leeds Trinity University and is also an AWS Academy educator. Previously, she held academic leadership roles at the University of Sunderland.

Current Research Focus

Dr. Chavan is currently pursuing doctoral research in Project Management at Alma Mater Europaea University, Austria and Slovenia. Her research explores the integration of emerging technologies in project management. She focuses particularly on artificial intelligence in risk management, Industry 5.0, blockchain, and people-centric skills such as emotional and cultural intelligence.

An active researcher and thought leader, Dr. Chavan has published widely in her field and holds several technology patents. 

She is a regular keynote speaker and panelist at international conferences and forums. Her talks have been featured at events hosted by organisations, such as Nokia, LTIMindtree, Infinite Computer Solutions, QS Impact, APD Academy, PMI Indonesia, and the IEOM Society.

Professional Recognition and Contributions

Her contributions to the field of project management have been recognised through several prestigious accolades, including the PMI Future 50 Honoree, PMXPO and GeCCo awards. 

In addition to her academic and research activities, she actively contributes to global academic and professional communities through editorial, reviewer, and advisory roles.

Education

Dr. Chavan holds postgraduate degrees from the University of Strathclyde (UK) and the Australian National University. She also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). 

Her academic journey began with a degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
