Dr Kyounggon Kim PhD, MSc, CISSP, MIEEE

Biography

Dr Kyounggon Kim is Course Leader for MSc Cyber Security at Ravensbourne University London. He previously served as Associate Professor and Head of Cyber Security and Digital Forensics at Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, where he was also a founding member of the Centre of Excellence in Cybercrime and Digital Forensics (CoECDF).

With over 25 years of combined experience across industry and academia, Dr Kim has led cyber security consulting and penetration testing projects for more than 130 clients across finance, energy, and public sectors, including roles at Deloitte and PwC. His expertise spans security audits, compliance (ISO 27001, ISMS, PCI-DSS), digital forensics, and national-level cyber security strategy.

He is an award-winning educator and mentor, having taught offensive cyber security at Korea University and contributed to global initiatives with UNODC. His research focuses on AI-driven cyber security, cybercrime intelligence, smart city security, and nation-state cyber operations.

Dr Kim is a CISSP and CISA-certified expert, a former DEFCON CTF finalist, and an author and translator of key cyber security texts.
