Derin Fadina BA, MArch, PGDip, ARB
Biography
Derin is an ARB-registered architect, spatial planner, writer, and lecturer. His professional experience spans architecture and planning across both the private and public sectors, with a focus on community, commercial refurbishment, and urban design projects across London and the Southeast of England.
He currently works as Principal Digital Planning Officer at the London Borough of Brent, where he leads digital transformation initiatives within the planning service and contributes to the council's spatial planning and placemaking projects.
Alongside his role at Ravensbourne University London, Derin is an Associate Lecturer at Central Saint Martins. He has previously held teaching and research roles at the University of Westminster, where he continues to contribute as a visiting critic.
His writing has been published in leading academic and cultural outlets, including The Architectural Review, Architects’ Journal, e-flux Architecture, and Frieze Magazine.
