Areej Fatima BSc, MSc

Areej Fatima is a Lecturer in Computing with three years of industry experience and a background in both professional practice and higher education. She holds professional certifications in Advanced Automation (AA360) and Mendix Development.

Prior to entering academia, Areej worked in the technology sector as a Robotic Automation Developer, where she designed and implemented automation solutions in industry environments. Her professional experience informs her teaching, enabling her to connect academic theory with real-world application.

Areej has taught across multiple universities and colleges in the UK, delivering undergraduate and postgraduate modules in computer science, software engineering, programming, and automation-related subjects. She is committed to student-centred, inclusive learning and to preparing students for careers in the technology sector.

Her professional interests include robotic automation, low-code development, software engineering, and innovative approaches to computing education.
