Preslava Glushkova

Preslava is one of our recent graduates in 3D Animation. We sat down with her to reflect on her Ravensbourne experience — how it felt to complete her degree with us and how it helped shape her career ambitions. Here’s what she had to say:

What aspects of your course or the facilities did you enjoy the most?

I wish I could pinpoint just one thing, but the 3D animation course has genuinely transformed me, both as an artist and as a person. We work with industry-standard software and constantly adapt to new technology each year. The facilities give us access to everything we need to push our work further. 

I’ve also loved the collaboration across different courses, which mirrors real industry environments and helped me develop essential creative and communication skills. What I enjoyed the most, though, was having the chance to try multiple animation disciplines. It allowed me to discover what I truly enjoy and to focus on mastering my skills in that area. 


How has your time at Ravensbourne equipped you for your professional path?

My time at Ravensbourne has encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and engage directly with the industry, from attending events to learning from numerous guest speakers who shared their experiences and career journeys. 

Working on industry-led briefs has been an invaluable learning curve, giving me real insight into professional expectations. The 3D Animation course gave me the confidence to dream big and to say yes to opportunities as they come my way. 


How would you describe the overall atmosphere and community spirit?

Ravensbourne has always felt incredibly supportive, and its diverse community creates an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. Events like Rave Late really bring the university together and make the experience feel vibrant and connected. 

There are also fantastic support programmes for both current and graduate students, which I think is amazing. People here are polite, respectful, and genuinely open it’s a place where you feel valued.
