Hi there! What is your name and role at Ravensbourne?

“Hello, my name is Shaun Borstrock and I am Head of Knowledge Exchange and Research at Ravensbourne.”

It’s time for a coffee break! What’s your go-to drink or snack?

“My go to drink would be water (boring I know), and a strong oat cappuccino.”

What do you do in your role at Ravensbourne?

“I am responsible for our KE + R strategy, supporting colleagues in pursuing their knowledge exchange and research ambitions, and ensuring the university engages effectively with potential funders, industry partners, and other relevant key stakeholders.”

What’s the best part of the role?

“The best part of my role so far is starting to realise the potential of KE+R in the university.”

What are you most looking forward to right now?

“I am most looking forward to working with colleagues on collaborative projects, raising their profiles, and being successful in receiving external funding that enhances both staff and student experiences.”

What advice would you give to your 18-year-old self?

“Be more attentive and don’t take things for granted.”
