Why Don't You...? (1987)

Concept and creative process

Opening titles for ‘Why Don’t You…?’, a series presented by children who suggested ideas for activities and interests for other kids to do as an alternative to watching TV. The opening title sequence was a cartoon animation of the title song performed by a dancing TV on legs. It was filmed on a rostrum camera and intercut with live action footage on the TV and multiple screens of other activity suggestions, cut with shots of the programme logo.
