White Noise (1990)

Concept and creative process

Titles and linking sequences edited to create a submission to the Royal Television Society Awards. 'White Noise' involved a one-day videotape shoot in an all-white studio at Molinaire Studios in Soho. Subjects included a student dancer from the London School of Contemporary Dance, plus various kitchen utensils, 'reeded' glass, and flexible sheets of reflective black perspex to enable image distortions to be achieved 'in camera'. Sequences were assembled in Quantel's 'Harry' digital editor and Paintbox, with minimal retouching or image manipulation.

Winner of the Royal Television Society Award for Best Graphic Design 1990-91.
