The Weather Show (1998)

Concept and creative process

Programme titles for ‘The Weather Show’, which in a series of short, at times daily programmes, took a look at the weather and how it affected our lives. In a digitally edited title sequence, certain weather conditions were isolated in square vignettes which zoomed towards the camera, with the sun, clouds, waves and lightning bursting out of their vignettes and occupying the whole screen. The final concentric prismatic image receded to become a colourful element in the programme logo.
