Concept and creative process
Opening titles for ‘Tomorrow’s World’, a long-running series which looked at recent developments in technology as well as future trends. The titles began with a model shot of the programme name, engraved on the outer perimeter of the case of a clock, whose hands were speeding around its face inexorably towards the future. A montage of library or production footage culminated in the spinning of a ‘TW’ medallion, with the 1970 calculator script logo engraved on its facets, visible in close-up as it landed.
