Concept and creative process
Animated opening titles for ‘Storytime’, a programme of stories and songs for 4 to 5 year olds. The animation was created by Mike Hibbert using drawn and painted cel artwork which was filmed on a rostrum camera. The penultimate scene of the princess and the frog was filmed against a blue colour separation background, which enabled it to be combined in post-production with the final scene, which was shot on an actual model set.
