Concept and creative process
Opening titles for 'Rough Justice', a series which investigated alleged miscarriages of justice. The title sequence was created by filming a series of close-up details of a specially made model of the figure of Justice with her sword and scales, seen first in silhouette. Dramatic lighting and camera angles were used to highlight the sword and the scales, as the evidence, seen in an overlaid slow-motion sequence of falling documents, piled up in its pans and the balance began to tip under the weight.
