Titles for ‘On the Rocks’, a series of programmes on the ways in which the landscape around us reveals the story of their own evolution. The formation of mountains, caused by the buckling of the earth’s crust as tectonic plates collided, was reflected in the animated title caption. Over aerial shots of mountain landscapes, a series of parallel white lines built up and reacted to an unseen force in a ripple effect, forming a series of peaks which resolved into the programme title.
