The Really Wild Show (1993)

Concept and creative process

The opening titles for ‘The Really Wild Show’, a children's wildlife programme with reports from across the world. The concept for the sequence was to contrast children humorously imitating the behaviour of animals in a fast-paced sequence of cut-out video clips, composited on a Quantel Harry over constantly changing, abstract watercolour backgrounds. This style and energy characterised the whole sequence throughout, from the boy and dolphin shooting out of the water to the non-stop movement of the title logo.
