Concept and creative process
Opening titles for a series of programmes in which Peter Oppenheimer interviews prominent people in the North West of England. For the titles of ‘Profile’ a multiplane animation of opposing profiles was filmed on a rostrum camera with a tracking and panning movement ending on black. This became the background for a slit-scanned version of the programme title which resolved into a frame for the opening studio shot.
