Titles for a series of short programmes for absolute beginners in German. The programme teaches basic vocabulary and talks to some people about how they coped in Germany without any knowledge of the language. An ancient pre-war German grammar book, a countdown in German, an explosion of the book can only mean one thing – a guide to the German language that is ‘PRIMA!’ – one common word that expresses excellence in many subtly nuanced ways. A countdown leader intercut with house numbers and backlit artwork of PRIMA! with its many meanings being progressively uncovered, were filmed on a rostrum camera and edited with a filmed special effects explosion to create the titles - 'Prima!'
