Concept and creative process
Titles for a children's programme which was a series of news and views on BBC programmes for the very young and gave details of what the week's ‘Play School’ programmes were going to hold. The graphics in the title animation were by Quentin Blake. The presenters were Carol Chell, Brian Cant, Carol Leader, Ben Bazell, Sarah Long and Ben Thomas whose names were animated in as a video effect in the studio. The title sequence was filmed on a rostrum camera with cell overlays and tracks and pans over Quentin Blake’s original drawn artwork.
