Concept and creative process
Opening title sequence for ‘Out of the Past’, a dramatised historical series for Schools. In the generic sequence the leaves of the block calendar tear off and take the viewer back in time, ending with the title of the series. Time and the action then reverse to bring back into view a reprise of the series title and an image representative of the current programme, ‘The King’s Glaziers’. The animation was drawn and painted on pegged and registered sheets of paper and filmed on a rostrum camera.
