Opening titles for a series written by Peter Prince and starring Sam Waterston as Robert Oppenheimer. The series was the winner of the BAFTA award for best drama series/serial 1980. It was a drama-documentary reconstruction of the life and times of Robert Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb, which followed his activities during and after the Second World War. The titles focus on telling the story of the development and successful testing of the first atom bomb in 1945.
