Concept and creative process
Opening titles for the long-running arts documentary strand ‘Omnibus’, which aired from 1967 until 2003. The sequence was essentially the generic titles of 1977 with the tricolour Italian national flag branding tacked onto the end. The coloured spinning globe, the inline ‘Omnibus’ Logo panned through the circular vignette of the ‘O’ and the split into four separate coloured ‘O’s which exited the screen, were all created in 2D computer animation.
