Concept and creative process
Opening titles for a series featuring a mixture of sketches and stand-up comedy from Eric Morecambe, Ernie Wise and guests. For the titles, a starry background was created by filming pinpricks of varying sizes in alternating pieces of back-lit artwork on a rostrum camera. A top-lit caption of the show’s title logo was printed on a black background and covered with gold glitter. This was faded in and superimposed over the star background, rotating at speed on the rostrum table, as the camera zoomed in.
