Concept and creative process
The titles were designed to establish the science laboratory, the equipment and the experimentation that was the life of Marie Curie, depicted in this drama series. The title sequence was filmed live action in a studio with equipment borrowed from the Royal Society. The portrait photograph of the actress Jane Lapotaire as Madame Curie and the maintitle were shot on a rostrum camera.
