Concept and creative process
For the titles of documentary series 'Man Alive' Bernard Lodge spent two days with a live action crew filming around London and the suburbs, filming all kinds of people, including his own family. He was learning to master the art of montage and his original footage was combined in the edit for the sequence with additional library film, some of which was tragic.
