The Lowdown (1998)

Concept and creative process

Titles for a children's documentary series in which children shared their own real-life stories. These titles were inspired by Roger Ferrin’s original 1988 version of ‘The Lowdown’ but used the now go-to technology of 3D computer-generated imagery (CGI). This beautifully choreographed sequence was used to create an intriguing and colourful opening title which related well to the target audience. The original theme music was also given a much more upbeat treatment, to suit the greater degree of freedom of action afforded by the CGI technology.
