The titles for 'The Late Show', the Arts programme shown nightly four times a week. The wolf hound baying at the full moon became the brand image of the show which was augmented in an entertaining way by graphic sequences depicting all kinds of objects, from German sausage varieties, to spaghetti shapes, to trainers, from collections of anagrams to almanacs. Like the unique copyright graphics that appeared at the close of each night's programme, these sequences also became a cult and collectors' items for fans of 'The Late Show'. The sequences were achieved with a live action studio shoot of the wolf hound against a background image of the moon, and sequences of objects shot under the rostrum caption camera, composited on Quantel Paintbox.
