Concept and creative process

Opening titles for the series in which Jo Brand took a comical look at television commercials from around the world, ranging from the bizarre to the hilarious. The titles were shot against green screen in a studio with a chair and a chaise longue, with Jo Brand reacting to offers of virtual 3D CGI products from the Brand X product range, from washing powder to fat free chocolate. A moving background of layered coloured squares and rectangles was softly keyed-in in digital post-production, together with the Brand X products and animated effects of spray, sparkle and 3D stars, plus a remarkable transition of Jo Brand out of her alter ego into her normal self.
