Jancis Robinson's Wine Course (1995)

Concept and creative process

‘Jancis Robinson's Wine Course’ was a ten-part series that looked at wines from around the world. The title sequence consisted of a mix of production footage from wine growing areas around the globe, intercut with specially filmed artistically composed shots of wine bottles, accompanied by the moving shadows of glasses and of wine being poured at an apparently gravity-defying angle (with the camera turned on its side).
