Concept and creative process
Titles for a home improvements and DIY series, presented by Pattie Coldwell. The title sequence featured a speeded-up computer simulation of the construction of the house used in the programme ‘On the House’, from the ground plan, through the stages of construction to the finished building, from the front door of which the presenter emerges in the opening scene. The triangular shape over which the animation was composited was used as a vignette to contain relevant production footage of activities related to the DIY and home improvement aspects of the programme. It also emerged as an integral element in the programme logo design.
