Concept and creative process
‘Future Fantastic’ was a series which premiered in 1996. It looked at how science and science fiction complement each other, and how ideas and technologies from the past are helping to shape our future. Title sequence was designed by Tim Goodchild on Quantel HAL, using a series of adapted science fiction models provided by Mat Irvine from the BBC's Special Effects Department and live action visual effects shots. The series was narrated by Gillian Anderson.
