Best Drama Award winner at the British Academy Children's Awards, the six half-hour drama episodes were screened on CBBC. The drama told the story of a lonely boy of divorced parents, who is a victim of bullying both at school and also by an elderly woman he comes into contact with on a school visit to the care home where she is a resident. She makes him sew her a coat of feathers which, when she puts it on, has disastrous consequences for her. The theme of feathers is explored in the beautifully choreographed computer animated title sequence to create a sense of foreboding for the drama to follow.
