Concept and creative process
Sue Lawley and Dave Lee Travis hosted the year’s awards ceremony from the Cafe Royal, London. The artwork for the titles was all created with clear on black Kodaliths which were filmed back-lit with coloured gels on a computer-controlled rostrum camera using the light scan technique, which created the typical flares and streaks.
