A BBC One formatted ident was made to promote the launch of ‘Frozen Planet’, the new BBC and Open University co-production nature documentary series. A time lapse clip from one of the programmes showed noisy penguins thronging an Antarctic beach as the sun rose higher in the sky, illuminating the scene and creating a perfect background for the BBC One logo with animated fern frost growing around it.
