Concept and creative process
Opening titles for the second series of police dramas based around the men and women of the Operational Support Unit "Charlie Serial" of Midlands police. Essentially a re-edit of some of the production footage featured in series one, a multiple split screen sequence was again required to include the additional new production footage that needed to be shown in this fast-paced opener, in order to convey the drama of the police operations that this series focused on. A post-production edit with electronic mattes created the choreography of the live action scenes to sync with the music. The 3D CGI logo for the show animated in skilfully at the end like moving reflections in a façade of office windows.
