Concept and creative process
A collection of comedy sketches starring Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones. The titles played with the idea of visual distortion of the two actors’ faces as if seen in distorting mirrors, using specialised software in the digital edit suite to achieve the desired transitions between videos of the actors. The transitions were keyed over monochrome distorted versions of Smith and Jones in the background layer and the show logo, falling like a brick on Griff Rhys Jones’s head.
