Charles McGhie used an image of a Magritte-like faceless bureaucrat, standing before a window surveying the enigmatic scene beyond, as a metaphor for uncertainty, a feeling enhanced by the halting, one-finger playing of ‘Ba Ba Black Sheep’ on the piano which accompanied it.
