Concept and creative process
To complement the first computer generated BBC2 channel ident, a clock was designed in the same white, orange and beige colourways, with the new inline logo and bars centred below in the lower third of the screen. The minutes were marked in orange at 5 second intervals with strokes of even weight, with the hour hand in white and the white second hand in a slightly lighter weight. This clock remained in service until 1986.
