Concept and creative process
Opening titles for an acting gameshow for children, chaired by Graeme Garden, where two teams of famous personalities do battle in a series of acting games. The title sequence was made using back-lit artwork of stars, superimposed over each other and filmed with coloured gels and camera filters to diffuse the shapes. A short rotation animation of a single star leads into the final programme logo animation, which was filmed in two passes of the camera - the first to film the background and the second to burn in the lights and their reflections, using a matte to uncover the back-lit letters in sequence.
