Titles for ‘Pop Quiz’, a quiz about pop music, presented by Mike Read. The animation was produced using the traditional trace and paint method and filmed on a rostrum camera. The animation was limited to key frames only with no ‘in-between’ frames, which resulted in the deliberately jerky movement. The backgrounds were filmed with top lit and back lit artwork to give the glitzy effect, and some additional superimposition of back lit spot effects on the animated performers’ shirts and trousers and microphones added sparkle and flare.
